Dr. Amy Determann is an accomplished manager, leader, and educator with a diverse work history and knowledge base. Her experience, education, and compassion position her to solve complex problems with innovative and value-added solutions.  Dr. Determann brings an authentic human element to stressful situations and difficult conversations.

Dr. Determann grew up in Southern Illinois, earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) from Deaconess College of Nursing, St. Louis, MO. She earned her Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from Lindenwood University, St. Charles, MO. She earned her Doctor of Management (D.Mgt) from Webster University in St. Louis, MO.

Dr. Determann began her career as a medical/oncology nurse before specializing in Emergency and Trauma nursing. Thriving in a complex environment that challenged her critical thinking and problem-solving skills, she progressed in her leadership roles where she learned to leverage team dynamics, solid structure, and employee engagement to deliver positive outcomes. 

In 2009, Dr. Determann completed original research, defended and published “Planning and Sustainment of a 24/7 Cancer Care Clinic Using Action Research and Lean Management Tools”.  This was a first of its kind, outpatient clinic designed to meet the urgent care needs of the fragile cancer patient population. Dr. Determann’s research was presented at the 35thAnnual International Cancer Conference, sponsored by the Oncology Nursing Society. 

Dr. Determann began her consulting career in 2012. The new Value Based Care initiatives in healthcare created an opportunity to help health systems and physicians identify new sources of revenue.  Through project management skills and quantitative data analysis, opportunities were identified, workflows and value streams were improved to optimize outcomes and provide metrics for sustainment. 

In 2016 Dr. Determann became a full-time professor of Business and Entrepreneurship.  She served as Department Chair for the Department of Human Resources and Management Information Systems. Dr. Determann taught the full spectrum of upper level business classes including the suite of HRM courses, Business Analytics, and Operations Management.

Dr. Determann is founder and CEO of Invicti Partners, LLC and AL-Management Solutions, LLC.  She understands adapting to change is necessary and inevitable.   Change can lead to great outcomes, but when those changes are unexpected, adapting to them may be a daunting task.   She will help you assess your situation and create a plan to move forward.
